Industrial metal outfit Combichrist will have album #11 out on July 24th through Out Of Line Music. The group have titled that 13-song outing “The Venom In The Mouth Of God“. Absent any direct pull quotes from the band themselves, a press release had the following to say about this record:
‘The album opens with a controlled demolition: “ODR” through “Born Deströyer” delivers dense, mechanized industrial metal with little mercy. From there the mood shifts and stretches. “Each Scar A Vision” and “The Way We Want To Be Seen” strip things back to something more introspective – dissecting the masks people construct, the curated selves they put on display – before the record drives hard to its close. Featuring previously released singles “Desolation“, “RISE“, and “Feraline” alongside new material, the album also includes “Demons Wanna Be Summoned” feat. King 810, a collaboration with the confrontational Michigan nu-metal outfit whose raw intensity locks in precisely with the album’s unrelenting atmosphere.’
