More details have surfaced regarding the recent arrest of ex-Turnstile/The S.E.T. guitarist Brady Ebert. Per a report filed at The Baltimore Banner, the 33-year-old Ebert is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault for an incident involving William Yates, the 79-year-old father of Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates.
According to police and accompanying surveillance footage, Ebert showed up at the Yates residence, honking and shouting obscenities. Per reporting from The Banner, he is said to have eventually intentionally ran into William Yates with his car in the driveway, leaving William with trauma to his legs.
Per The Banner, William is also quoted as telling police in the hospital that after the incident Ebert came back and told hold him that he “deserved it”. According to William, there have been several past incidents involving Ebert since the latter was fired from the band in 2022.
Ebert was arrested March 31st for the incident and has remained in custody since, pending a bail review hearing slated for today, April 02nd.
Ebert had reportedly been increasingly agitated towards Brendan Yates on social media recently. His 2022 ousting from Turnstile also reportedly involved a peace order.
Ebert was fired from his latest band The S.E.T. this past February, with the band citing hi, “his ridiculous comments and behavior toward the members of our band and our community.” Ebert had since went on to form a new band, Existence.

Brady Ebert‘s second appearance in Montgomery District Court in Rockville, MD took place this afternoon, April 02nd. Per the Maryland Judiciary Case Search & Record Portal, today’s bail/bond review hearing saw Judge Amy Bills uphold the decision to keep Ebert in custody without bond.
