Fans anxiously awaiting a follow-up to Anthrax‘s 2016 album “For All Kings” still have a number of months to go. While mixing for that Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Avatar) produced effort concluded this past November, the thrash metal legends are presently eyeing a late summer/fall release. Originally, the group had been eyeing a potential May release for that outing, though they’ve since landed on a September release.
Drummer Charlie Benante recently told Everblack of that:
“No, it doesn’t come out in May. We’re putting out our first song and video in May. The record is not coming out till September. We pushed it back a little bit. We just had to do a couple of other things to it. And then we had to, of course, get a release date set. So it got moved to September. And that’s it. It’s coming out in September, but the first song and video will be out in May.”
Those who attended the band’s touring earlier this year with Megadeth were treated to a preview of a new track.
