Extol have newly shared a video from the studio sessions for their long-overdue follow-up to their self-titled 2013 album. While the Norwegian Christian death metallers returned in 2023 with a two-track EP, these latest sessions have apparently yielded some 10 new songs for a proper full-length outing.
A glimpse at their progress in the studio footage made available over at their Instagram story reveals a number of working titles, ranging from “Vile Path“, “Usurper” and “Phantom Bruise“, to seemingly obvious placeholders like “Punch Balls” and “23.01.19“. Going by the progress chart found in the footage, the majority of the instruments have been tracked, with most of the vocals, solos remaining, along with subsequent mixing and mastering.
