Ghost‘s growing arsenal of platinum and gold records grew this week. The Swedish occult rock outfit’s viral 2019 song “Mary On A Cross“, which several years after its release exploded on TikTok, continues to tower above the rest of their catalog. That throwback song to a fictional past era of the band has newly secured 2x multi-platinum status in the United States.
Meanwhile, newly joining the platinum club from the band is “Dance Macabre“, the second single to be launched from their fourth studio album, 2018’s “Prequelle“. Both of these certifications were handed down by the RIAA on November 13th, 2025.
*A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
