With the ‘Resident Evil‘ video game franchise turning 30 in 2026, plans are underway for a variety of celebrations to honor that milestone. Among them is a newly announced collaborative merch capsule with Japanese kawaii metallers BABYMETAL.

While there’s not too much to go on yet, the below video finds Alcina Dimitrescu from the 2021 entrant in the game series, ‘Resident Evil Village‘, announcing this new partnership. A long-running survival horror favorite, ‘Resident Evil‘ has also successfully branched off into merchandise, animation and live-action film, the latter of which have had prominent ties to heavy metal.

The official soundtrack for the 2002 film adaptation of ‘Resident Evil‘ featured a main theme and numerous tracks from Marilyn Manson, along with songs from Slipknot, Mudvayne and numerous others from the heavy metal scene.

Alcina Dimitrescu descends from Resident Evil Village with some very special news.
