New music from defunct space rock/post-rock outfit Oceansize has just emerged online as part of an expanded 15th anniversary reissue of their final studio album, 2010’s “Self Preserved While The Bodies Float Up“. According to vocalist/guitarist/bassist Mike Vennart, three of the six newly included bonus cuts were left unfinished during the original album sessions back in 2009, and were only recently finished up vocally this year.
The record has newly been remastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road for this occasion and is available on vinyl through Kscope, with a Bandcamp release also planned. The bonus tracks newly tacked onto the album’s original running order consist of:

A visualizer for one of those tracks, “To The Zoo“, has just been shared below. Vennart also gave a video update outlining this new release. In case you were wondering, in it he shot down any hopes of a reunion, confirming that the despite this new output, the Oceansize will remain on the shelf.
