Former The Amity Affliction bassist/vocalist Ahren Stringer has been hospitalized after “a serious and unexpected emergency.” That news has emerged via the social media account of his latest project Self Checkout. That fledgling group unites him with Gus Farias (ex-Volumes) and is said to lyrically focus on mental health and addiction issues.
A statement shared yesterday, September 14th, by that band regarding Stringer‘s health reads as follows:
“To Our Self Checkout Family, We really wanted to actively engage in celebrating the release of ‘Death Notes‘ with you all in real time. Unfortunately, we are supporting Ahren in hospital after a serious and unexpected emergency, so our priority has shifted to his health and recovery. We hope you enjoy the big day enough for all of us, your support means the world xxx”
The band’s debut single “Death Notes” is currently streaming below.
