With the August 22nd release date for their sophomore album “Exodus Of Gravity” looming, Arcadea have put out a lyric video for the album’s latest single “Lake Of Rust“. This song is meant to serve as the final advance single from that outing, which will arrive through Relapse Records.
Mastodon drummer/vocalist Brann Dailor and Core Atoms have served as the core of the synth-laden progressive rock outfit, bringing on Mastodon touring keyboardist João Nogueira for this new conceptual record. Atoms said of the track:
“This is where our hero is crossing this giant lake of lava with floating icebergs in it. They’re heading towards the galactic lighthouse where New Arcadea’s mysterious source of light originates. This is everything they see on their adventure. In terms of human emotion, it’s power, anger and revenge. It’s about getting there and saving the day no matter what.”
