Falling In Reverse‘s ever-controversial vocalist Ronnie Radke has been having a characteristically heated few days on social media as of late, stirring up the pot with a number of comments and stats.
In a post shared this past Saturday, July 26th, Radke proclaimed his May 2025 single with divisive shock rocker Marilyn Manson, “God Is A Weapon“, to be the, “biggest metal/rock release 2025 numbers wise.” Speaking broadly to his detractors about that feat, he added, “I hope it fucking hurts you.”
Going by plays on YouTube as suggested by Radke‘s post, the aforementioned collaboration has notched up over 18 million views this year. Sleep Token‘s most viewed 2025 track on YouTube is an audio stream of “Emergence“, which hit 11 million views. Ghost‘s “Satanized” music video is their biggest performer released this year on the aforementioned service, sitting at 9.9 million views.
Radke also responded to Live Nation‘s recent report indicating that metal and rock shows have experienced a noted increase in attention and ticket sales, with metal now accounting for 13% of arena and stadium shows.
That brief rundown indicates that shows from Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Pierce The Veil, Sleep Token, Ghost, Turnstile and Falling In Reverse have been driving up those numbers. It also noted that stadium shows from Metallica and System Of A Down had made remained steady drivers in this increase in market share.
On July 29th, responding to a user on X who posted, “DONT PUT F****** ** ******* AND SLEEP TOKEN (+ghost) IN THE SAME SENTENCE EVER AGAIN????” in regards to a post made about that aforementioned report, Radke sniped back: “Yea because I out stream and sell both of them so put me in the first category you fucking loser”.
A brief glance at Spotify’s streaming numbers do indicate that Falling In Reverse‘s catalog puts up sizable numbers with Sleep Token‘s catalog being relatively comparable, with both bands having a number of tracks that have been streamed over at 100 million times or more. The edge would appear to go to Falling In Reverse numbers wise overall though. The same can be said for Ghost to an extent, with the difference being a bit more negligible.
As of press time, Falling In Reverse‘s 3x platinum 2019 single “Popular Monster” has racked up over 463 million streams, delivering what appears to be the band’s biggest single numbers to date. Sleep Token‘s best performing song appears to be their 2023 single “The Summoning“, which has over 241 million streams. Ghost‘s platinum-certified 2019 hit “Mary On A Cross” appears to have commanded the most streams overall of the above-mentioned trio, sitting at over 791 million listens as of press time.
Outside of the above missives, the last week or so has also seen Radke not so vaguely level unsavory allegations against a certain Floridian post-hardcore band, and draw heat for his latest usage of a transphobic slur. Radke‘s opinions on trans identity issues have previously found him banned from social media services. For his part, Radke has publicly denied being transphobic or homophobic.
