Crossfaith have issued a new statement regarding this past weekend’s firing of their guitarist Daiki Koide. That decision came about after the band were publicly called out late last week by Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke. Crossfaith were removed from several dates they had planned with Falling In Reverse in light of the allegations of the 37-year-old Koide conducting an inappropriate conversation online with a 14-year-old fan.

Radke first raised the issue with the Crossfaith internally, however, upon being unhappy with how they chose to pursue the matter, Radke took to publicly calling out the group in a social media video. Crossfaith went on to cancel their European tour in light of the matter, before later firing Koide.

Now, in a new statement issued by Crossfaith, the band have outlined the incident, while also revealing that they will be going on hiatus. In a bid for transparency, the band have also shared a series of screencapped conversations. Through those, they reveal that Radke was alerted to the inappropriate conversation by the minor’s concerned father. Furthermore, Crossfaith have shared records of their subsequent conversations with Radke, as well as the conversation between Koide and the fan that led to his dismissal.

Crossfaith‘s statement read:

“We hereby express our deepest apologies to the minor who was subjected to inappropriate communication via direct messages from our former member Daiki, as well as to her family.

Furthermore, we offer our profound apologies for the considerable concern and inconvenience caused to all those involved and to our supporters, due to the delay in our response.
We deeply regret that this has resulted in confusion and a loss of trust.

In view of the extreme gravity and seriousness of this situation, Crossfaith has made the decision to suspend all activities for the foreseeable future.
Accordingly, all scheduled performances will be cancelled.

We would like to inform all customers who purchased tickets for Crossfaith JAPAN TOUR 2025 – Paint The Target – that full refunds will be issued.
Details regarding the refund procedures will be announced at a later date.
We kindly ask for your patience until further information is provided.

We once again extend our heartfelt apologies to everyone Who has been caused distress or concern as a result Of this incident. We are fully committed to facing this issue with utmost sincerity and to moving forward with integrity.”

Crossfaith vocalist Kenta Koie also issued a separate apology via this collective post. Koie was first contacted about the matter directly by Radke over the concerns, but failed to act in a way Radke felt suitable. As such, excerpts of their discussion regarding Koide‘s actions subsequently were shared in Radke‘s above-mentioned video. Koie‘s new statement reads:

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest apologies to the minor who was harmed by the inappropriate conduct of our former member Daiki, as well as to her family.

I also sincerely regret that my own remarks caused so many people to lose trust in me. I am truly sorry.

When I first received information from Ronnie, I could not believe that Daiki—a friend of many years—could have done such a thing. Driven by emotion and a sense of needing to protect the band, I ended up making statements in his defense. Even after reviewing the actual DM exchange.

I failed to fully grasp the gravity of Daiki‘s actions, and as a result, did not make the decision to dismiss him immediately.

I now recognize that this was a serious error in judgment, and I am deeply reflecting on my actions.

From here on, I will do my utmost to regain trust through my conduct and my words.

Kenta Koie (Crossfaith)”
