Crossfaith have fired their guitarist Daiki Koide after an allegation emerged that the 37-year-old guitarist had been engaging in an inappropriate conversation with a 14-year-old fan. Those allegations were publicly shared earlier this week by Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke, who blasted the band over the matter in a video on TikTok.
In that video, Radke claimed to have ejected Crossfaith from the European shows they had booked with Falling In Reverse this month after finding out about the inappropriate conversation. Furthermore, he shared a screencap of a subsequent conversation he had with Crossfaith vocalist Kenta Koie, arguing that Koide be removed from the band.
Radke went on to claim that Koie and the band refused to act on the matter. Radke also claimed to have presented his findings to the promoters behind several festivals the band were booked at, urging them to drop Crossfaith. At least one festival refused to drop the outfit, with the ‘Graspop Metal Meeting‘, drawing the ire of Radke as a result. In his initial video, Radke in part stated:
“I was gonna be silent about it and let it go away and let the band fire the guy. They refused to fire him, so that means the kids are not protected. You need to protect these fucking teenagers.”
Hours after Radke‘s video began making headlines, Crossfaith canceled their European tour, stating on June 26th:
“To our fans and everyone following the recent events,
In light of the current situation and the speculation circulating online,
we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining four shows of our European tour.June 26th – Vainstream Festival Opening Night 2025
