Converge returned to the road last week, and with a new album in the wings, they took the time to test some new material from it. Thus far a pair of new tracks, “W.W.N.T.S.” and “Doom In Bloom“, have been played by the veteran metalcore outfit. For now, you’ll have to catch them live to hear those tracks, but some fan-filmed footage from the band’s recent stop in Detroit, MI has made its way out.
As revealed by the group themselves last month, Converge hit the studio earlier this year with some 27 new songs written in advance. It remains to be seen what actually makes it to the album, but drummer Ben Koller has laid down drums for at least 17 of them. Converge‘s upcoming shows include:
05/12 Nashville, TN – Basement East (feat. Generation Of Vipers)
05/13 Birmingham, AL – Workplay (feat. Legion)
05/15 Daytona, FL – Welcome to Rockville
06/14 Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Monarch
07/24 Indianapolis, IN – Post. Festival
07/26 Mountain, CO – Unhinged Fest
07/25 Cut Bank, MT – Fire In The Mountains
10/05 Birmingham, AL – Furnace Fest
