Old Man Gloom have announced a rare 2026 live show. The post-metal supergroup, who feature members of Converge, Cave In, Neurosis, SUMAC and more, have only performed a handful of times this year. They’ll next be onstage as a special guest for GRAMMY Award-winning sludge metallers High On Fire at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY on November 02nd. There’s a good chance this might be Old Man Gloom‘s only show for awhile too. Notably, High On Fire will also be playing that aforementioned venue on Halloween, October 31st.
Old Man Gloom‘s Santos Montano said of this upcoming gig:
“I was in advanced talks to host a once a month event at St Vitus where I brought in 17 couches, we all order dominos and watch full episodes of Headbangers ball from the early 90’s, commercials and all, but the stingy tightwads at Vitus wouldn’t accommodate my budget and I refuse to charge more than $320 a ticket, so instead we compromised on a regular old show where we play songs.
This may well be the only gloomery for a while, so get on In here! Tickets on sale at noon today! Which is…Wednesday? I took the trash out and thought it was Tuesday, so yeah, it’s Wednesday. Oh, and @highonfireband will be making everyone forget we just played because they’re awesome. YES.”
