Multi-platinum alternative rockers Puddle Of Mudd have set “Kiss The Machine” as the title to their seventh studio album, which Pavement Entertainment will be releasing on May 02nd. “Beautimous” is the lead single from that effort and has gone up online below. Meanwhile, the band’s infamous vocalist/guitarist Wes Scantlin had the following to say of this new album:

“There’s a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in this record. We wanted to mix and match different styles together, have fun, and just create something fresh. It’s all about pushing boundaries and breaking out of the same old vibe.”

“This album was a moment of clarity — me looking in the mirror. I was there night after night in the studio, learning, recording, pushing myself, and making sure every part of it felt authentic. I’m super proud of how it all came together.”

“I just want people to feel something — to smile, and have some hope in their hearts. Music has the power to heal, and if these songs help someone through a tough time, that means everything to me. That’s what this album is all about.”

With a long history of legal run-ins and erratic behavior, this record’s reveal follows an already turbulent year for Scantlin. In addition to claiming he was ‘roofied’ by an ex-bandmate ahead of a disastrous live performance earlier this year, he was also arrested last month on domestic violence and drug possession charges.
