Glenn Danzig Under Fire For Using Nazi-Associated Symbol On New Merch

Gold-certified metal/horror punk icon Glenn Danzig has come under fire for the usage of an apparent ‘black sun’ (aka Sonnenrad) on merch featured during his spring tour. That symbol holds longstanding ties to Nazism and remains popular to this day among neo-Nazi groups. Danzig is set to wrap up his headlining West Coast tour tonight, March 30th, at the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. That trek has found him out with Down, Abbath and Cro-Mags.

While criticism for his usage of the symbol has been welling up on social media, Danzig himself does not appear to have addressed the matter. Notably, Danzig has had a longstanding interest in at least the occult ties of Nazism over the years, infamously showcasing and endorsing a book titled ‘The Occult Roots Of Nazism‘ back in 1990.
