Canadian alternative metallers Kittie have some plans in the works to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their gold-certified nü-metal debut album “Spit“. The band teased what they have in store while commenting on album’s advancing age yesterday, January 11th. A collective statement offered:
“Today marks the 25th anniversary of the official release of ‘Spit’. What a huge milestone. We had no idea of the impact the album would have on us and others, and as soon as it was released our young lives were forever changed.
Please let us know what the album means to you, and how it has impacted you. What is it about Spit that has crossed generations and continues to inspire?
There’s a few exciting things we have coming up this year in relation to that so stay tuned!”
Vocalist/guitarist Morgan Lander commented in an accompanying video, stating, “we have a lot of cool stuff coming down the pipe this year in regards to ‘Spit‘, so stay tuned.” Having returned from hiatus in 2022, Kittie launched their comeback album “Fire” last year, marking their first full-length album since 2011’s “I’ve Failed You“.
