Brendan Yates, vocalist of melodic hardcore outfit Turnstile, hit the stage in an unconventional setting last night, December 17th. Rather than serving as the mobile commander of a youthful display of moshing and stage drives, he situated himself at a piano for an stationary audience.
Appearing alongside pianist Liam Benzvi, Yates delivered renditions of Turnstile‘s “Underwater Boi” and Benzvi‘s own “Hiccup” as part of the annual benefit concert for LGBTQ youth, ‘The Ally Coalition Talent Show‘. That event was held at the Skirball Center For The Performing Arts in New York, NY, with fan-filmed footage of the aforementioned performances available below:
