Considering that their last official full-length album “The Dusk In Us” came out in 2017, it shouldn’t be surprising that Converge are sitting on an abundance of new material. A post shared yesterday (May 04th) by the band’s drummer Ben Koller elaborated a bit on what you can next expect from the veteran metalcore group.
Here’s what he stated:
It's all over the place. We have crowdkilling, Fugazi, Mars Volta, Entombed, mathcore madness, slow Nate riffs where I play too fast, shitty riffs, emo riffs…This could be our best album yet no joke. We should proably ditch the shitty riffs though

A separate response to a fan read as follows:
Hard to say what the finished product will be but I will say that this feels like the most evolved, natural and fully realized bunch of material we have ever written. It's tough to try and compare it to other albums. No Heroes feels like another lifetime at this point.

Having recently had to postpone a few tours as their guitarist Kurt Ballou recovers from a foot infection, it would seem the outfitmay have some more time on their hands at the moment to hone their next sonic assault.
