Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City” Hits 1 Billion Streams On Spotify


Guns N’ Roses‘ 1987 track “Paradise City” has officially joined the 1 billion plays club on digital service provider Spotify. That song first appeared on the band’s 18x multi-platinum debut album “Appetite For Destruction“.

It was later released as the fourth single from it in January of 1989. Thus far, individual platinum/gold certifications for that song have yet to be made by the RIAA, but it’s safe to assume that once the accounting is done, even more sales/streaming awards will be handed out to the hard rock titans.

In an impressive feat, the song is actually the third from “Appetite For Destruction” to cross that threshold on Spotify, as the platinum-certified “Sweet Child O’Mine” and the gold-certified “Welcome To The Jungle” have both preceded it.
