Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke Clashes With SeeYouSpaceCowboy Amid Our Last Night Backlash, Slams Lazy Metalcore Bands

Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke has come to the defense of Our Last Night. The latter outfit, who have dabbled heavily in covers throughout their career, were chosen as the replacement for Spiritbox on Falling In Reverse‘s recently wrapped summer tour.

Spiritbox ultimately dropped off that trek in advance amid a wave of outrage from their fans, who vocally expressed their anger that Spiritbox would chose to tour with someone as controversial as Radke. While Radke and Spiritbox remained cordial to one another amid the situation, Radke was was openly critical of Spiritbox fans.

Following the completion of the aforementioned tour, Radke and his bandmates, along with the various acts on the tour, posed onstage with a backdrop that read ‘Wish You Were Here Spiritbox’. While Radke described the gesture as being ‘light hearted’, a number of Spiritbox fans took it as a light, with Our Last Night themselves got swept up in for sharing the photo.

Some excerpts from that can be found below:

Meanwhile, the feuding also spilled over to SeeYouSpaceCowboy guitarist/vocalist Ethan Sgarbossa taking a shot at Our Last Night, which Radke replied to:

Radke, who was just recently banned from TikTok and shadowbanned by Twitter over his controversial statements regarding trans gender identity, then got an indirect reply from SeeYouSpaceCowboy vocalist Connie Sgarbossa, that exchange can be seen below:

Radke later clarified that he donated to SeeYouSpaceCowboy‘s GoFundMe campaign for their stolen trailer several years prior. Outside of that, Radke also weighed in on the backlash Our Last Night have been facing recently, while also criticizing certain circles of the current metal scene.

In a post shared yesterday, August 02nd, Radke offered:

“I love it when metal musicians in bands nobody’s literally ever heard of that play the same exact breakdown in every song with the same stupid ass synth that every other band uses, same screamer that learned screams from some stupid ass YouTube scream tutorial, same beard, same triggered drums same triplets I was playing in 2005, same pfp of either any anime cartoon, or some metal band writing nobody can read same piercings, same t shirts, same weird ass girlfriend that loves to hang from hooks or some shit, talks shit on @OLNband and gets more likes on their tweet than their merch or ticket sales have ever gotten, our last night makes millions, your band is a 2 of 4 on a 250 cap room fucking tour, you live in a 2 bedroom apartment with 7 fucking people, tweeting from your phone about shit that don’t make any sense, fuck you, fuck your band, fuck your drum triggers fuck your singer who sings from his head voice so the front of house engineer has to crank his vocals cause there’s no power behind his voice. I see all of you. all of your sub par songs, that hide your true song writing talents behind boring ass regurgitated metal riffs, and use the excuse that anything that is pop or popular is bad because you lack the knowledge and talent to sit down and write a song that will stand the test of time, so you shit on it.”

Radke didn’t stop there, later offering:

“It’s so much easier to write a fucking metalcore song, than sit down and write a fucking HIT single that breaks the billboard hot 100 charts. so tired of these clowns acting like making metal is some crazy ass impossible concept that only few know how to do, here’s your chord profession 0000-000-000-1-000-000-000-1 congratulations. you just played the open chord for 14 fucking albums.”
