Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy has long been known to keep watch over the crowd, regularly breaking ups fights in the audience at the band’s shows and checking in on people in the pit. During the band’s set last night (June 07th) in Dallas, TX, he once again added venue security to his resume.
Heafy rushed into action, jumping down from the stage mid-song to help catch a fan who was about to crowd surf over the railing right onto the floor. The below footage and commentary was shared by Heafy regarding that:
Don’t ever say we don’t love our fans
Absent security in that spot – dude almost broke his neck – and I had to jump down and catch him!
Whew.
Had to check on a second person on martyr – if that was you – please lmk if you’re alright.
Dallas. Holy shit. pic.twitter.com/TCRa4Gfepa
