A September 29th release date has been set for “SC\SSRS“, the first new studio album from Taproot in over a decade from nü-metal/alternative metal outfit Taproot. The band’s frontman Stephen Richards has been working on that album for sometime now, having crowdfunded $10,000 to help make it a reality.
In addition to that, the group have announced that they’ll be playing their first club show in six years. That show will serve as the album release show and take place at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI on the same date as as the album’s release. Tickets for the event will be on sale this Friday, March 03rd at 10:00am EDT.
Along with Richards, the band’s bassist Phil Lipscomb and drummer Jarrod Montague will be back onstage for those shows. Guitarist Taylor Roberts will round out the live lineup. A set at this year’s ‘Blue Ridge Rock Festival‘ in Alton, VA will precede that event, taking place between September 07th-10th.
Ahead of that all that, the band will be issuing their abbreviated demo collection “Best Of Besides” on April 30th via CD and September 30th on vinyl.
