Those of a certain vintage may have fond memories of the time industrial metal legends Nine Inch Nails made their first proper foray into the world of video gaming. Back in 1996, the band’s mastermind Trent Reznor composed the score to the revolutionary first-person shooter video game ‘Quake‘.
While not as pioneering as that collaboration, it’s worth noting that two previously released songs from the aforementioned Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame-inducted outfit are featured in the newly surprise released video game ‘Hi-Fi Rush‘.
Each of the boss fights in that rhythm-action adventure game are synchronized to songs from established artists. In addition to the likes of The Black Keys, Prodigy and more, two Nine Inch Nails tracks are featured. They include “The Perfect Drug” and “1,000,000“.
Every boss fight in Hi-Fi RUSH is set to songs by real-life rockstars like @nineinchnails and @theblackkeys!
