It’s night three of the ‘Hanukkah Sessions’, an annual covers tradition spearheaded by Foo Fighters vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl and musician/producer Greg Kurstin The Bird And The Bee, etc.). This year has found the aforementioned pair rolling out a new cover daily in celebration of Hanukkah.
The pair were joined by a wealth of special guests for a benefit concert at the Largo at The Coronet in Los Angeles, CA earlier this month, proceeds from which were earmarked for the Anti-Defamation League. Footage from that concert has subsequently been shared online for this video series.
For this third offering, the below cover of 10cc‘s 1977 single “The Things We Do For Love” has been served up, with Kurstin‘s The Bird And The Bee bandmate Inara George guesting.
Grohl & Kurstin commented:
“Once referred to as the “biggest Jewish band to come out of Britain,” 10cc’s MOTs Godley, Crème and Gouldman recorded a ton of hits — here’s one of the many: “The Things We Do For Love” as sung by Inara George!”
A daily live video from that performance is expected to emerge throughout the duration of Hanukkah this year, with the following setlist having taken place at the show mentioned above.
