Metallica In Fortnite

Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets” Is Now Playable In ‘Fortnite’

In an unexpected turn of events, the title track to Metallica‘s 1986 album “Master Of Puppets” was introduced to a brand new audience earlier this year. The song managed to go viral some 36 years after its original release thanks to a prominent inclusion in the finale of season 4 of the Netflix hit ‘Stranger Things.

The band themselves were quick to capitalize on all the attention, with “Master Of Puppets” cementing itself as a set closer amid the thrash metal institution’s touring this year. There was alsoa new lyric video for the song, a jam session with ‘Stranger Things‘ actor Eddie Munson and even a ‘Stranger Things‘ merch collaboration.

The band are now primed to be introduced to yet another audience altogether, having newly been included in the insanely popular battle royale video game, ‘Fortnite‘. A new emote will allow you and several other players to partake in a “Master Of Puppets” jam session, while the group have also had their music included in the game video a Metallica radio takeover featured in the game’s vehicles.

Given the range of licensed characters that are available in ‘Fortnite‘, some fans have already put together some rather interesting band lineups. You can get a tease of that in action below:
