It would appear that fans came out in droves to support Ghost, as the theatrically inclined Swedish metal outfit took home the ‘Favorite Rock Album‘ award at tonight’s (November 20th) ‘American Music Awards‘. The categories were fan-voted, with the awards ceremony having been held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Ghost in particular have had a banner year, mounting several successful tours in support of “Impera“. The outfit also landed their first-ever gold singles in the United States (“Dance Macabre“, “Cirice” and “Square Hammer“) with award(s) for their TikTok viral hit “Mary On A Cross” sure to eventually follow. The acclaimed group also scored a nomination for the ‘Best Metal Performance’ at next year’s GRAMMY Awards.
