Ozzy Osbourne To Debut New Single “Patient Number 9” This Week

Heavy metal’s reigning Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne will be debuting a new single titled “Patient Number 9” this coming Friday, June 24th. It would appear that Osbourne enlisted acclaimed artist Todd McFarlane for the accompanying visual component for the track. The below teasers were shared in advance.

Osbourne‘s thirteenth solo studio album is presently expected to see a release this September. Sessions for it have already wrapped with Andrew Watt (Post Malone, Miley Cyrus) having once again taken on the production duties. The effort will be stacked with guests, including studio performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.

Also featured on that opus are Ozzy‘s ex-Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi & longtime Ozzy collaborator Zakk Wylde. Furthermore, fellow guitar legends Eric Clapton & Jeff Beck have also lent their talent to the effort. Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme and Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready also took part in the sessions.

Osbourne is currently at home recovering from a major surgery which is said to have seen several steel rods having been realigned in body. Osbourne ruptured those rods, which were implanted after a 2003 ATV accident, while taking a tumble back in 2019.
