Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen continues to branch out this year, having newly announced he’ll be filling in for guitarist Captain Sensible at several of the The Damned‘s forthcoming live appearances. Speaking yesterday (April 23rd) on the matter, the ever-bespoke guitarist commented:

- Advertisement -I am beyond excited and honored to be playing several shows with The Damned in the Merry Merry Month of May.
Due to ongoing travel restrictions, the ever-charismatic Captain Sensible will not be doing these US dates. So when asked, I was more than happy to offer my services and step in as a temporary replacement.

Earlier this year, Troy also showed up onstage with The Armed.
Speaking of this lineup change, The Damned added:
“As you now know, Due to ongoing travel restrictions, The Captain will not be doing the US dates in May. Troy Van Leeuwen from Queens Of The Stone Age has offered his services and will be stepping in as a temporary replacement. A massive thank you to Troy !!
Captain Sensible will be playing shows in June in the UK & Germany. We’re also hoping that restrictions will ease in the USA, so as he can join the band on the August dates with Blondie and will of course be playing with the Original line-up with on their final dates this Autumn.”
