“I wanted to take a moment to talk about Jayson Holmes. I met him when he was still in high school. We had brought him into our band Eso-Charis. He was very charismatic and that’s how I’d like to remember him. I spent a lot of time with him writing lyrics and working through song parts so much that I lived with him at his moms house for a while.

We’d just stay up late playing music and listening to all the new Solid State music that would come out. We’d come up with dumb band names for the heck of it. He was very passionate about music. He was also passionate about friendship and relationship.

When he started The Handshake Murders I was so excited for that part of his musical career because he had created something he loved so much and his presence was undeniable. If you ever saw him sing live you knew how undeniable he was and how he meant every word he sang!

The man was as strong as an ox. I’ll never forget you buddy. I’ll see you in the next life. Your heart is now at peace now bro. Take a moment today to listen to The Handshake Murders in honor of Jayson Holmes.”
