Fit for A King have officially welcomed Trey Celaya as their new drummer. He replaces co-founding member Jared Easterling in the Texan metalcore outfit. Easterling announced his departure late this week, having exited the band to join Koe Wetzel‘s backing band. Celaya had previously been touring with Fit For A King as a live member and will also remain a member of his other group, Invent Animate.
In an official statement, Fit For A King offered:
“We are excited to announce that @inventtrey will be joining the band full time playing drums. We have been great friends and have been touring together for a long time already, so this was an easy decision for us to make. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him behind the kit with us moving forward.”
Celaya himself also commented, offering:
“you guys have probably seen that i’ve been touring with @fitforakingtx over the past few years, and i’m excited to announce that i’m officially their new drummer. i’m still in @invent_animate , and will continue to be an integral part of the songwriting and recording process, but i will no longer be touring with them. my inner fire has always told me to create, and i am blessed to be able to spread my wings and creatively contribute to two bad*ss bands that i love and regard as family. life is really busy between writing, recording with both bands, planning a wedding and touring, but my heart is full and i’m excited about everything that is to come. let us rock onward 🤙🏽”
The band are currently out on tour with August Burns Red, ERRA and Like Moths To Flames:
12/07 Tempe, AZ – The Marquee
12/08 Los Angeles, CA – The Belasco
12/09 Anaheim, CA – House Of Blues
12/10 San Diego, CA – Soma
