Northlane Discuss Their Upcoming New Album “Obsidian”


Northlane have provided a lengthy overview on what to expect from their upcoming sixth studio album, “Obsidian“. The band self-recorded and self-produced that effort with assistance from Chris Blancato. “I like music that focuses around rhythm, pulse and being able to easily move your body to it. A lot of the songs on ‘Obsidian‘ came from curiosity playing with synths and bending electronic genres that I like. On this album I really wanted to steer the band away from riff city. I’ve written enough riffs and contributed enough to the metal world.”

As previously reported, this upcoming album will be the band’s first self-released album, having launched this Patreon to facilitate it.
