Slipknot are tentatively planning to roll out some new music soon from their seventh studio album. During a recent appearance on ‘The Eddie Trunk Podcast‘, the band’s vocalist Corey Taylor revealed that fans could be hearing something new as early as “in the next month or so.”
Taylor commented of the band’s progress with the album and their first single plans:
“Actually, it’s pretty much done. I’d say it’s probably about eighty percent done. We’re finishing up some music, [and] I’ve got a couple more songs to sing. However, I will say this – don’t be surprised if in the next month or so you hear something new.”
As for how the single will sound, Taylor said it will be “more of a ‘let’s bludgeon everybody and remind them why we’re still Slipknot‘ kind of vibe.”
If you recall, the first single from the band’s current album “We Are Not Your Kind“, “All Out Life“, was surprise released on Halloween (October 31st) of 2018.
