Korn Recruit J.R. Bareis To Fill-In On Guitar For Munky At Upcoming Live Dates

With Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer having been sidelined by a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, the band have recruited J.R. Bareis to fill-in for him. Bareis is a member of Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch‘s other band Love And Death as well as Spoken.

Fan-filmed footage of the group performing last night in Salt Lake City, UT with Bareis on guitar and backing vocals can be found below. Korn‘s ongoing summer tour has seen bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu replaced by Suicidal TendenciesRa Diaz for the duration. It also saw frontman Jonathan Davis himself contract COVID-19 in August. Davis eventually returned to the road with the aid of a throne.
