Despite his return to the road this week, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis continues to recover from contracting COVID-19. Davis revealed his positive COVID-19 diagnosis on the 16th of this month. His announcement followed the band’s decision to postpone the first of six shows after he first came down with COVID two days prior on the 14th in Scranton, PA.
Davis made his return to the road in Tinley Park, IL this past Friday, August 27th and still continues to suffer from after effects brought on by COVID-19. Since returning the band have also brought out a throne onstage to allow him time to catch a breather now and then.
You can watch Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch discuss that below:
“…Jonathan Davis is still struggling with the COVID after-effects. He’s physically weak and having a mental battle. And any type of love, light and energy you can throw at him—prayers, all of it. We have shows coming up, so all of you guys, check the dates. Whatever show you’re going to, throw him some love and energy, man—he needs you more than ever.”
