Since exiting Korn back in 2006 due to a back injury and strained relations, drummer David Silveria hasn’t exactly had the best relationship with his former bandmates. Outside of various trash talking (#1, #2) over the years, there’s also been several lawsuits (#1, #2 & #3) and a failed attempt to rejoin the group.
While his relations still appear to be strained with most of the outfit, guitarist Brian “Head” Welch does still have love in his heart for Silveria, even despite their own 2019 back and forth. Appearing recently on Machine Head frontman/guitarist Robb Flynn‘s ‘No Fuckin’ Regrets With Robb Flynn‘ podcast, Welch said of Silveria:
“I miss that guy. I haven’t seen him in forever. I know there’s been some negative things said in the press, whatever, back and forth. But I wish nothing but the best for him and his family. I see ’em online and they look like amazing people.”
This same podcast interview also saw Welch discuss going a bit overboard with Christianity after leaving the band himself in 2005. Welch just put out a new album titled “Perfectly Preserved” from his Love And Death side project. Silveria currently handles the drums in Breaking In A Sequence, who dropped an EP titled “Acronym” this past January.
