A year ago today (March 03rd) Ghost concluded their touring cycle for their 2018 album “Prequelle“. That trek ended with a special performance at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico that saw the ascension of frontman Cardinal Copia, who was promoted to Papa Emeritus IV. Copia‘s new title wasn’t without casualty however as the show featured the untimely demise of Papa Nihil during that evening’s performance of “Miasma“.
Reflecting on that anniversary and the proverbial changing of the guard, Ghost have newly released the below video of “Life Eternal” directed by Ryan Chang featuring footage from that show. Today, March 03rd, also marks the 40th birthday of the band’s mastermind Tobias Forge.
