Several metal artists will appear on the covers of the upcoming international run of the crossover DC Comics ‘Dark Nights: Death Metal‘ series. The seven-issue ‘band edition’ run is set to launch in March and will feature ‘a variant cover spotlighting a different metal band, an introduction from the band and exclusive interview.’ It will be published monthly in eight countries: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Turkey. A collectors’ omnibus edition will also be made available in those countries, as well as Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Korea and Japan.

The ‘Dark Nights: Death Metal‘ line has already seen an animated spinoff series of videos featuring metal and hard rock musicians. Later this year Loma Vista Recordings will release an original soundtrack, dubbed ‘Dark Nights: Death Metal The Original Soundtrack‘. Thus far the only confirmed track is Rise Against‘s “Broken Dreams, Inc.“.
