Filter‘s Richard Patrick appears to be unhappy with his exclusion from being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a former member of Nine Inch Nails. He shared the following post yesterday, September 02nd:

The post was shared around the same time as the reveal of which current/former members of Nine Inch Nails would be inducted into the hall. The post is widely thought to be in reference to his exclusion, with the majority comments made directly on his post exhibiting that. Patrick was a member of Nine Inch Nails from 1989 to 1993, and was featured on one of the tracks of the band’s 3x multi-platinum 1989 album, “Pretty Hate Machine“.
Among the Nine Inch Nails members officially set for induction into the hall on November 07th are:
- Trent Reznor
- Atticus Ross
- Robin Finck
- Alessandro Cortini
- Ilan Rubin
- Chris Vrenna
- Danny Lohner
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame of course have a thorny history when it comes to which members of bands will be inducted. Late last year the hall faced backlash for originally excluding Phil Campbell and Mikey Dee from Motörhead‘s nomination for the hall. That decision was later changed to include them both, though Motörhead didn’t manage to earn enough votes to be inducted this year.
