Genghis Tron Reunite With New Lineup, Hit The Studio For New Album

Genghis Tron have officially begun recording their new album at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA with Converge‘s Kurt Ballou handling the production duties. The band’s return marks the end of a nearly decade-long hiatus that now finds them sporting two new members. In a split that was described as amicable, the outfit have parted ways with frontman Mookie Singerman, replacing him with Tony Wolski. Meanwhile, SUMAC/Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn has also joined the fold.

“We said it was just a hiatus and we meant it! It’s been incredible writing music again and hearing everything come together in the studio. This is the album we’ve always wanted to write. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.”

The official confirmation of the band’s return follows the recent vinyl reissues of their early albums.
