Varials have been called out by their former vocalist Travis Tabron for alleged past usage of the n-word following the recent launch of a shirt which the band put up this week to benefit The Bail Project and Campaign Zero. The band launched the shirt in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Tabron took to calling the band on social media earlier this week as follows:
oh so y’all done sayin nigga?

Tabron as later asked by a fan to as to why he waited until now to publicly call out his former bandmates:
……because as a black person it is extremely disgusting to see people pretend to care by making a charity shirt when they used to literally bust out in tears laughing saying the hard R in the van???? also bc of people like you that would say it’s somehow my fault????
— BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL (@strawberryTrav) June 6, 2020
He later continued across several tweets:
1/2 (thread)
“trav why’d you wait till now to say that about varials?”
bc its gross to see people that used to bust out in literal tears when one of them would say the N word make a charity shirt to support the cause
“i heard you were tryna get paid for a tour you didn’t do”

“and before you go oOoOo maybe that’s all they had”

Tabron and Varials parted ways back in January of this year with the statement issued about their split appearing to have been amicable. Varials do not appear to have addressed the Tabron‘s allegation.
