The Faceless Once Again Plan To Release Re-Mixed/Remastered Version Of “Planetary Duality”

The Faceless mastermind Michael Keene is planning to release a re-mixed and remastered version of the band’s 2008 sophomore album “Planetary Duality” this year. Keene had originally intended to give the album this treatment back in 2018 in celebration of the then tenth anniversary of the album, however those plans never materialized.

As he’s mentioned in the past, a rushed timetable for the mixing sessions for the album left him unhappy with how it originally turned out. Speaking recently with The Big Shred Podcast, he said of his renewed plans to revisit the record:

“I always felt it didn’t quite get the mix that it deserved. So now that I finally have the chance to give it the mix it deserves, I’m really, really stoked to be doing that. Everyone I’ve played it for, musicians, non-musicians—non-musicians that are familiar with the record—everyone can hear the night and day difference. It sounds really, really good, I’m super super proud of it and stoked for people to hear it.”
