Glassjaw‘s 2000 full-length debut “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence” officially turned 20 yesterday, May 09th. While the band’s plans to celebrate the album live this spring have been postponed amid the COVID-19 pandemic, they did recently launch a celebratory merch line. One of the artists to sing the album’s praises on social media yesterday was Every Time I Die frontman Keith Buckley. He tweeted:
this album changed everything for me https://t.co/Idnu9XhFeD

I discovered them through my roommate at the time who had just moved from LI. his brother (a new friend of mine) had begun vibe teching for “this hardcore band they grew up with”. he played me the EYEWTKAS demo cassette that his brother had sent him. that was that. game over

maybe a year later, GJ came through Buffalo on tour with The Deftones. because they knew my roommate, they came over when they got to town. I was honestly kind of star struck. when they left, Darryl wrote me a note on a Chinese food menu in my kitchen. I still have it.
