Volumes have kicked out their vocalist Gus Farias. While the band have yet to address his departure, Gus himself issued the below video statement on the matter, in part stating:
“I just want to make it clear that I did not quit. I love being in the band. I got kicked out for personal bullshit, which really is bullshit. I’m gonna be the bigger man and not air out business like that. I got a check, I secured my royalties. I’m out. I’m putting me first. I’m putting everything I got into Yogi. I know what it took to get Volumes where it’s at because I had a big, big, big part in it…”

Gus, who’s brother Diego remains in the band, was also quick to clear up any misconceptions about his firing. He stated “to make it clear me exiting had 0 % to do with drugs it was over some way more petty shit its sad”. Gus proclaimed back in 2017 that he was going to rehab after admitting he had numerous close calls on heroin and xanax. Gus has been pursuing a solo rap career over the past few years, performing as Yung Yogi and intends to now focus on that fully.
