Down Announce First Live Show In Years

It would appear that Down are set to make their return to the live circuit in 2020. The band have newly been announced for the June 20th, 2020 date of the annual ‘Graspop Metal Meeting‘ festival in Dessel, Belgium. The band last performed in August of 2016 at the ‘Psycho Las Vegas‘ festival. They’ve largely been on hiatus since their frontman Philip H. Anselmo‘s infamous racist outburst at the 2016 ‘Dimebash‘ event back in January. Anselmo went on to apologize for his behavior that night multiple times since.

It may be of interest that next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the band’s 1995 debut album “NOLA“. While it’s unclear if the band will mark that anniversary with any special shows, Anselmo stated earlier this year that he hoped that guitarist Kirk Windstein would rejoin the band for any potential upcoming touring.
