Machine Head have premiered a music video for their new single “Do Or Die” below. The song was tracked this past December with Warbringer‘s Carlos Cruz guesting on drums and arrives via Imperium Recordings/Nuclear Blast. It was produced by the band’s frontman Robb Flynn at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA. Russ Russell (Napalm Death, At The Gates) took on the mixing duties.
The song notably finds Flynn seemingly taking on his detractors and more and includes a lyric referencing both Chimaira and Strapping Young Lad. The latter appears to stem from Machine Head’s “Catharsis” having some similar sounding elements to the two artists, in particular “Beyond The Pale” and Strapping Young Lad‘s “Love?“ as well as “Volatile” and Chimaira‘s “Cleansation“. You can run through the lyrics over at Genius.com.
