Metallica played the first of two scheduled ‘S&M²‘ live performances with the San Francisco Symphony backing them last night, September 06th. The performance marked the grand opening of the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA and also celebrated the 20th anniversary of Metallica‘s original “S&M” effort.

The band will be back onstage at the same venue with the San Francisco Symphony once again on September 08th. Should you be able to contain yourself, official footage from the performances will be screened in theaters for one-night only on October 09th.
