Shadows Fall last took a break from hiatus back in 2015 for a handful of live appearances and there hasn’t been much word on any potential activity on that front since. According to the band’s drummer Jason Bittner, that isn’t from a lack of trying. Replying to a fan earlier today (July 23rd) on the band ever getting back on the road, Bittner commented:
We always chat dates but our schedules are just whack right now between Anthrax and Overkill both being active touring bands -we are trying, but we’re still waiting for the right time https://t.co/SUmowogzgQ

Earlier this year Bittner provided a blunt assessment of the original reasons behind the band’s hiatus, stating that “people stopped coming to see us.” As for potential scheduling issues, Bittner currently drums for Overkill these days. Meanwhile, lead guitarist Jon Donais joined Anthrax and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Matt Bachand joined Act Of Defiance. Vocalist Brian Fair went on to front Downpour and Hell Night.
