As I Lay Dying addressed their unique (and highly controversial) career path in a documentary titled ‘Misery Evolving‘ which saw a release this past spring. The band’s career came to a screeching halt when their frontman Tim Lambesis went to prison after having attempted to hire an undercover cop posing as a hitman to kill his past wife Meggan back in 2013.

He pled guilty to a charge of solicitation of another to commit murder and was paroled in December of 2016. In addition to reuniting with his formerly estranged bandmates, he has since married a different woman and continues to pursue a career in addiction treatment counseling outside of the group.
