Baroness Streaming New Album “Gold & Grey”

Baroness have launched a stream of their new album “Gold & Grey” via NPR ahead of its release this Friday, June 14th. The band’s frontman/guitarist John Dyer Baizley commented of the outing:

“This is the most clear representation of the artistic vision I have for the band that we’ve ever done. Where ‘Purple‘ was me lyrically trying to work out how to adjust to a new normal, I think ‘Gold & Grey‘ is a more grown-up and more subtle collection of words that reflect how I am trying to deal with the longer term effects of having experienced so many terrible things.

I choose to use the band as a place where I can take all of this stress, pain, anxiety, all these realities, and make them something good.”

The group are currently out on an acoustic in-store tour which includes the following stops:

06/10 Philadelphia, PA – Creep Records @ 7pm
06/11 Fords, NJ – Vintage Vinyl @ 7pm
06/12 Babylon, NY – Looney Tunes @ 7pm
06/14 Brooklyn, NY – Rough Trade @ 7pm
06/15 Poughkeepsie, NY – Darkside Records @ 2pm
06/16 Boston, MA – ONCE/Newbury Comics @ 2pm

They’ll follow that up with a South American run that will hit the following cities:

06/19 Mexico City, MEX – Lunario
06/21 Santiago, CHL – Blondie
06/22 Buenos Aires, ARG – Uniclub
06/23 São Paulo, BRA – Fabrique Club

After that you can catch them back out in North America this summer on this headlining run with Torche, Pallbearer and War On Women. That outing will be followed by this European/UK tour with Volbeat.
